KATALIN HETEY (1924 - 2010)
White Relief V.
1987

gesso on wood fibre

32 x 32 x 7.5 cm

In the early eighties, the central problem of Katalin Hetey's works focused on: durability and change and the search for the endless scope of the variability of phenomena. She took simple spatial forms of universal meaning based on sphere, cube, prism, or curve.

As she noticed, "I was seeking the "fundamental", pursuing an inner logic."
