Tamás Jovanovics finished his doctorate at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest, in 2004. Later at Aix Marseille Université in Aix-en-Provence, he embarked on an intense investigation of Neo-minimalism and neo-constructivism, reflecting on the chromatic and spatialist legacy of the early twentieth-century avant-garde movements.
