Zsolt Bodoni's researches the past and reinterprets them in the present. He uses archaeological finds to understand the present: memories, icons, symbols of old times that are generally understood. Despite their intelligibility, it puts them in a new context, thus reinterpreting the past. He reworks the pictures of old masters. He tries to look under the “original” glaze, looks for the skeleton below, and then finds new elements from his reproduction or changes the proportions.
